Why This Exists

Spirit Did Not Pay Me began as a single dispute — and became a record. When Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy, hundreds of flight attendants were left with unpaid wages, missing final paychecks, and owed PTO that simply never arrived. Calls went unanswered. Payroll portals went dark.

This platform exists to break that silence. We are not a law firm. We do not replace legal counsel. What we do is document, educate, and organize — so that isolated incidents become a visible pattern, and that pattern becomes accountability.

The Origin

The Dispute That Started It

The name is not metaphorical. Spirit Airlines — in its final months before filing for Chapter 11 — failed to pay out wages for completed work, issue final paychecks on time, and honor accrued PTO balances. The money was earned. The hours were logged. The flights were flown.

When one flight attendant documented the experience publicly, others came forward. The shared thread was unmistakable: the same delays, the same silence, the same pattern of deferral that left former crew without the pay they were owed.

That is where this started. It is not where it ends.

Who We Are

Who Stands Behind This

Spirit Did Not Pay Me is maintained by former Spirit Airlines flight attendants and advocates who have been on the receiving end of non-payment. We are not affiliated with Spirit Airlines, the AFA, or any legal firm. We have no financial interest in any dispute beyond transparency.

Our contributors believe that the public record matters — and that the bankruptcy process should not be a mechanism for erasing what former crew are rightfully owed.

Your Experience Is Evidence.
